🚨The Return of the Long Island Tigers🚨

Coming in 2025, 10-12u and one exclusive 15u team! The Long Island Tigers are back! Now operated by Showtime Select Owner and St. Dominic Varisty coach Joe Fusco, along with Showtime and St. Dominic coach Pete Loduca.

The Long Island Tigers were established in 1969 by Warren Almond, a former Detroit Tigers scout. The Long Island Tigers were widely known as the top travel baseball organization in the tri-state area for decades. Producing 12 Major Leaguers, 28 pro players along with hundreds of Division 1 players. Some alumni include Omar Minaya, Steve Karsay, Don Cooper and Neal Heaton.

Joe Fusco said: “It is a great honor to be able to operate the Long Island Tigers. The history of the Tigers is unmatched by any travel organization in the New York area, it transcends generations of the best players and coaches to be involved in travel baseball since 1969. Through my life I’ve heard stories from my coaches and players older then myself about the years of winning NABF World Series’, the battles with the Bayside Yankees and all of the great players that came out of the Long Island Tigers program. This is truly an honor for me.”

Pete Loduca also stated: I am very excited to begin this venture with the LI Tigers and appreciative in my partnership with Joe Fusco in bringing the LI Tigers back into youth baseball on the island.  We are grateful that Tom Hopke and Ike Goldstein are passing the baton and supporting us in our vision to continue carrying on the legacy of the Tigers.  When you played the LI Tigers, you knew you were going to see a brand of baseball that included high level coaching, high IQ/intuitive plays and a respect for the game of baseball.”

Showtime Select has produced nationally ranked teams by PG in every age group (15u-17u). The Long Island Tigers will follow the same template, looking to play top schedule for top end players.

Fusco and Loduca noted that they look forward to former Tigers owners Ike Goldstein and Tom Hopke to still be a major part of the Tigers going forward.
